MILANELLO SPORTS CENTER

Completely restructured and renovated thanks to the backing of Silvio Berlusconi,Milanello is today one of the most important, prestigious and state-of-the-art sporting complexes in Europe. Situated on a hill at an attitude of 300 metres near Varese and only 50 km from Milan, the centre is easily reached from the motorway that runs around the lakes. Originally opened in 1963, it is surrounded by a160,000 m² green oasis that includes a large pine forest and a lake located between Carnago, Cassano Magnano and Cairate. The exact dividing line between these local areas cuts right through the middle of the dressing room. Milanello today represents an important asset not only for the Rossoneri, but for the entire Italian football movement. This was the objective of Andrea Rizzoli, who decided to build the complex. The continuity was thus then assured by Silvio Berlusconi, who had always wanted to make available a complex designed according to the needs of coaches and players.

THE STRUCTURE

The Milanello structure has always been at the forefront in terms of training facilities and has been used on a number occasions by the Italian Football Federation ahead of important international tournaments including the European Championships in 1988, 1996 and 2000. Milanello has six regulation-size natural grass pitches, a synthetic pitch (35m. x 30), and another covered synthetic pitch (42m. x 24), there is also an outdoor grass pitch known as “the cage” due to the fact that the playing field is surrounded by a 2.30 m. wall where there is a 2,50 m. high fence. Inside “the cage” play continues without stopping, the ball is always moving in order to increase the speed of the game. In the wood there is a 1,200 m. long path set out at different gradients and during the season it is used for physical training (jogging and cycling) and for the rehabilitation of injured players. The main structure of the centre is made up of a building with two floors (and the basement) where there are offices, the players’ rooms, the main hall, the TV room, the billiard room; the bar, the kitchen, two dining rooms, the press room, the meeting room, the laundry room and the medical centre. Next to the main building there is a "guest house", where some of the youth players who have arrived from other parts of Italy or from abroad live. They attend school in the morning and train in the afternoon.

THE DRESSING ROOM

A separate building from the main area houses two dressing rooms (one for the First Team, the other for Youth side) and a modern gym with the latest Technogym equipment; the real centre-piece of the facility.

THE GYM

The completely, newly renovated gym offers the players the high-tech Technogym brand solutions. The gym was refurbished a few years ago, adding the latest Technogym equipment, aesthetically upgraded by Technogym’s Interior Design team. The latest cardiovascular machines are equipped with the new interactive VISIOweb display to connect to the internet, TV and iPod during training and the Pruestrength line of equipment has been specially designed for the needs of athletes to allow muscle-building capacity for Massimiliano Allegri’s players. Today, all international observers consider Milanello to be the number one sports centre in the world. The national side have used it often ahead of World Cup and European Championships matches. The latest changes to the structure relate to the field of communication: 3,000 metre-cables have been installed in order to place Milan Channel – the thematic club channel that broadcasts all the news about the club to fans - cameras at strategic points. Weaknesses of Indonesian Economic

Chamber of Indonesia Commerce and Industry (Kadin) declared Indonesian economy that is actually very promising for both domestic and foreign investors. However, there are still weaknesses seeing by Kadin of the economy that need to be addressed. Vice Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Novian Anindya Bakrie said, promising Indonesian economy is evidenced by incoming investment, private consumption, and vibrant business world.

“But there are still some weaknesses that Indonesia’s economic structure needs to be addressed now,” said Anindya at Menara Kadin Jakarta, Wednesday (06/03/2013).

Anindya see Indonesia’s economic weakness is in the trade deficit. Currently due to larger imports than exports then it makes more Indonesian trade balance to be deficit. Moreover, the largest import of oil and gas.

On the other hand, Anindya also highlights subsidy of oil (BBM) to the people who actually are not even on target. Current budget fuel subsidy enjoyed by the rich instead.

“As the impact, the deficit and the high pressure gas imports that led to the weakening of the rupiah,” he added.

Again, the actual budget for infrastructure even neglected. He rated in the last few months that there is no improvement of government policy so that a problem cannot be resolved. Though foreign investors intending to invest in Indonesia as it will look up the bureaucratic infrastructure. If not good, then foreign investors will pull out of Indonesia.

An easy way to fill baking cups is to use an ice cream scoop. Use one that measures out 1/3 cup batter when filling regular-size cups. Use one that measures out 2 tablespoons batter when filling mini cups. 

Frosting Tips 

Carefully dip tops of cupcake into the frosting, give a slight twist and remove. Finish off with a swirl of a knife if needed. Dip frosted cupcakes into bowls of nuts, colored sugar, sprinkles, or other decors for easy decorating.

How to Store Cupcakes 

1. Cool cupcakes completely before covering to keep tops from becoming sticky (about 30 minutes).
2. Cover cupcakes that will be frosted later loosely so the tops stay dry. If covered tightly, they become sticky and difficult to frost. 
3. Store cupcakes with a creamy-type frosting loosely covered with foil, plastic wrap or waxed paper or under a cake safe or inverted bowl. 
4. Refrigerate cupcakes with whipped cream toppings or cream fillings. 
5. Frost cupcakes with fluffy frosting on the day they are to be served. 
6. Freeze cupcakes two to three months, tightly wrapped. 
7. To prevent frosting on frosted cupcakes from sticking, freeze cupcakes uncovered 1 hour, then insert a toothpick in the top of the cupcake, and tightly wrap. 
8. Thaw cupcakes in the refrigerator or on the countertop. 
9. When thawing on the countertop, loosen or remove wrapping to prevent condensation. 
10. Decorating gel, hard candies and colored sugars do not freeze well because they tend to run during thawing.

How To Make Pancakes

This basic pancakes recipe takes very little time to make. Plus, once you make up the batter, you can hold it in the refrigerator for several hours.

I like to oil my griddle with a combination of butter and high-heat cooking oil like safflower oil. Butter adds a really nice flavor to the pancakes, but butter by itself will burn too easily. Adding a bit of cooking oil will prevent burnt pancakes.

Here's a tip: If it's been more than six months since you bought your baking powder, toss it and buy a fresh container. When baking powder gets too old, it won't rise as much as it should.

• High-heat vegetable oil (like canola or safflower) for cooking

Preparation:

1. Pre-heat your griddle to 375° or heat a nonstick sauté pan or skillet over medium heat.


2. Pre-heat oven to 200°F.


3. Sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.


4. Beat the eggs thoroughly. Add the eggs, melted butter and half the milk to the dry ingredients and mix gently until combined. Now stir in the remaining milk until the batter is the desired consistency. Don't overmix!


5. Melt butter on the griddle or pan. It should foam and sizzle. Drop a tiny bit of cooking oil onto the griddle and blend it with the butter.


6. Now, for each pancake, ladle ¼ cup of batter onto the griddle or pan.


7. Cook until the tops of the pancakes are full of bubbles and the bottoms are golden brown.


8. Flip the pancakes and cook until the tops are golden brown, then either serve right away or transfer to the oven to keep warm.

Makes about 12 pancakes.
